I have been taking Viibryd since July 15, 2013. After the initial start-up dosages, I was on 40mg X 1 daily, in the morning. After talking with other users, I take with food (some recommend protein based), as it is supposed to help with the bio-availability of the drug. And also, as in my case, eases digestive system irritation, like nausea, gas and bloating. I became well adjusted to Viibryd about 1 month later, with virtually no side effects. I reduced my dose to 20 mg a day due to feeling a little too "numbed". Otherwise, I have never felt better, with a notable reduction in anxiety also! Like so many people, I have tried practically every SSRI/SNRI, etc., since 1997, and Viibryd, by far has been an absolute God Send!! Wish you all the best!
theresa,,, This drug is in the SSRI anti deppressant/and antianxiety the studies and what i seen when i was still working that it is more refined and less side effects many listed here do not mean they happened with this drug even if it happened with a different ssri they have to list it... But most of my customers that were on it stayed on it with very little complaints,It is picking up in use more and more so i believe you have nothing to worry about the trials were very well tollerated hope this helps this is the info on the package but please don't worry about the side effects best that if you go on it check with the doctor if you thing your are havig any of them.

I've been on Viibryd since Feb. 2013 and, for me, it does what it's supposed to do & does it very well! I've found that I have to: 1)Take it with food - it causes me GI problems if I don't; 2) Take it WELL before bedtime - otherwise it causes me insomnia; 3) Take it regularly (1/day) - missing a day or more, then going back to 40mg tabs makes things REALLY hazy for me for the day! As with the others, the Viibryd is working great for me!
