I had my period for three weeks straight with horrible clotting and bleeding. I'm 21 and I've never been pregnant but I've always had abnormal periods. My doctor put me on a 10 day trial of provera to stop the bleeding. Is this just to slow it down or is my period going to come back full force at the end of the trial?
What can I expect from taking Provera to stop my period?

And to clear some things up, I know there's no guarantee on how I will react to this, but what are these pills suppose to do? I can only find answers from people needing it to start their periods.
