I tried skipping my period using the Ortho Evra patch by just starting the next round of patches without skipping a week. Instead, I just delayed my period a week and then my period lasted for two weeks! When I was done with those three weeks, I skipped a week and had only light spotting. Now I've gone through another three weeks and took my third patch off to start my period. It's only been two days since I took it off (Wednesday) but I haven't gotten my period yet. I'm concerned that this messed up my cycle and I could have gotten pregnant when my boyfriend and I had sex two weeks ago.
No, it just threw your cycle off a bit. Stay with it and it will straighten out.. Sometimes skipping a period works and sometimes it doesnt. Since you bled so much the first time, there was less uterine lining to shed the second time, you will yet start more than likely. Just be patient and keep to the patch schedule and it will straighten out.
