Weightlifter/calisthenics/boxing enthusiast here have been given a 25 lb weight limit and have been told at this point and time I can still do calisthenics with no valsalva breathing and to stop short of muscle failure... what guidelines have others received in terms of exercise or if you have already had valve surgery what were the restrictions given to you afterwards?
I'm one year post AD rupture repair... ER surgery... Was told after 3 mos to live life as normal, including exercise with the disclaimer to "just use common sense", by my cardiologist.
This is frustrating as I don't know what feels normal with this any more... so I could really use some clarification as well..
