I am scheduled for an infusion of Reclast on Tuesday, however after reading all the side effects others have suffered and are still having, I am considering not doing it! Is there anyone who has had the infusion and not had long lasting side effects? If so please comment!! I was told to expect flu like symptoms but nothing about long term aches and pains. Is this normal??
I know it's been a while since you posted this question, but I hope you had no problems with the Reclast infusion. I'm a 66 yo woman with 1 year behind me having had breast cancer. I also have osteoporosis in my right hip and my oncologist has instructed me to take Reclast infusions 1x/yr for 5 years along with Arimidex (an estrogen inhibitor). I had my first Reclast infusion last April (2016) and had minor body ache for less than 1 day. It was extremely tolerable. I have had no lingering after effects. I hope this has helped you.
