We don't have anal I always pee afterwards, their always full on painful Uti I don't get it we both are very clean I'm taking a cranberry supplement pill twice a day HELP!!
There are multiple reasons why this happens. One, the act of intercourse can force bacteria into your urethra which can cause a UTI. Urinating after intercourse is a good first step. Second, the simple physical act of intercourse can also cause inflammation in all the areas near your urethra and bladder, sometimes restricting the bladder from emptying fully - which leaves a breeding ground for bacteria. The cranberry supplements will help (but only in discouraging bacteria from hanging around the bladder lining) but not necessarily be fully preventative.
So, first off, continue to urinate immediately after sex. BUT - Continue to do so for several hours afterwards - taking extra time to allow your bladder to fully empty. If the UTIs persist, you may want to talk to your doctor about a prophylactic antibiotic (Bactrim is great if you're not allergic to sulfa based drugs) to take for 12-24 hours after intercourse.
