A friend gave me what she said is antibiotics because I have a toothache which is possibly infected. Trying to find out what the name of the antibiotic is. Its a white oval pill with the imprint VP/120. Whats the name if it and is it good to take for tooth infection?

I suggest you go to the Dentist, antibiotics alone can not cure a tooth infection.
