... antifreeze from a leaking heater core for an extended time? I drove for about ten hours breathing in what smelled like burnt antifreeze. it was a vapor coming through the vents into the cab area. i had the windows open a couple inches for ventilation but pulled over and stopped when I started having bad chest pains. After breathing fresh air for a few minutes the pains went away. I have been real tired for a couple days with sore muscles but have felt a little better today.
I'd see a dr, something is wrong. It sure sounds like it was the breathing of the vapors. I'm not finding any articles on poisoning that way, but it does say call the poison control center for info 1-800-2221222
Your body is trying to remove the Ethylene toxin from your body. There is a test for it (vets have it for pets). For such a long exposure time you should seek medical attention. You may become sensitive to products that contain PPG's for a while. Wish you a speedy recovery.
