I don't have the terrible symptoms related to menopause, so I'm luck there. However, menopause has caused my skin to become so dry and thin that I developed eczema on my entire body, even my breasts and underarms. It's itchy and awful. My endocrinologist would never prescribe HRT to his patients unnecessarily, but he said my skin is so bad, he prescribed the estrogen patch, along with 100 mg progesterone. This is my third week and it hasn't worked. Is there anyone out there who knows how long it will take for me to get relief, if at all? Gosh! I'm not kidding. My skin is very, very dry and itchy. Help!
