I had 2 angiograms of my legs taking u 500 insulin. Since that my blood sugars have been very low. How does u500 affect someone with kidney desease
Regular insulin is out of your system in a few hours. There is also no way for us to know how much they used, if they used any. I know of no angiogram that uses insulin. If you're diabetic and they told you not to take your pills, they'd give you insulin, but not more then you needed. The other thing is I know of no insulin that comes in 500U/cc. It used to come in different concentrations and it was standardized because of the chances of medication error.
Hi Miles 48
I have diabetes II and kidney disease stage (3). I have a insulin pump that uses Humulin R u-500 which is 500 units per ml. It is concentrated. It is working great for me. My sugars are normal, rather than needles each time I eat. So I don't miss sticking myself 6 to 7 times a day. I have not had any side effects.
