I can't get my stomach right, I tried changing my diet as well and I'm still suffering discomfort, the carafate isn't working
Carafate is a short term treatment (around 8-12 weeks) for your condition as it actually creates a natural barrier between the problem area (usually ulcers) and stomach acid. I am wondering why you have not taken a proton pump inhibitor like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole that actively reduce stomach acidity. Clearly there may be medical reasons why you cannot take this kind of medication. Certainly something to talk to your doctor about.
The instruction are very specific about taking it on an empty stomach and then a time period before you can eat. https://www.drugs.com/pro/carafate.html I hope you can get this resolved quickly.
Wishing you a happy holiday season.
