Hx: 34yr female, 5'1 165 lbs. History of mild hypertension/hypotension and pvc's. Hypertension due to heart related issues was ruled out as well as pheochromocytoma. The "episodes" come for several days where bp meds arent working and my numbers get high enough to go to er, but then they say im fine and I go home. recent numbers... bp 168/118 pulse 140. if I lay down with my feet elevated bp drops to 95/80 pulse still 120. Headache, nausea, chest discomfort, when the numbers are high I also get blurry vision. If I stand to even get a drink it jumps back up. After a few days of rest this resolves itself. I just need to know how to get my bp down. I know I need to lose like 45lbs... but I cant even walk around my block without my bp going crazy high. I eat very healthy. I take my meds on time, every day, diltiazem and lisinopril. I can go a few months with no issues and out of nowhere tachycardia for days with climbing bp. HELP... Cardiology said they feel its more a chemical issue and not a cardiology issue and my regular doc says he doesnt know what it could be.
