My son is almost 18 and had increasingly serious facial acne since 2.5 years ago. He has tried adapelene and clindimyacin, but was not very diligent. He's also tried proactive and x-out by proactive. Latest visit to dermatologist is for us to consider the oral isotrenitonin (sp?) capsule in lieu of trying other oral antibiotics. He is a healthly young man and the potential side affects are very scary. Would like to hear a second opinion from a physician and also hear from other consumers that suffer from severe acne on whether trying the oral iso drug is worth the risk. Recommendation is 8 months of oral iso med. thxf
