Enbrel alone has not done it completely. Still many issues and flare ups. Also have PMR for which I take Prednisone 10 -15mg a day.
Most studies allow for at least 24 weeks before reporting significant improvement in symptoms. Hopefully you will not need to wait that long.
My rheumatologist told me 3 months until we knew definitively that the Enbrel was working. I've been on methotrexate for a couple of years but even at the maximum dose of 25mg by injection, it wasn't doing it by itself. I'm now at the three month mark and feeling better. I'm in clinical remission which means no swollen joints that are causing damage. That doesn't mean you can't still be in pain, but I hope that it makes it more manageable especially since you've added MTX to your mix. I've even been able to reduce my Celebrex for pain to once a day and am hoping to be able to stop taking it unless necessary.
