I had been on Enbrel for years. Loved it. Worked like a charm. Then my insurance sent a nice letter to let me know they would not cover it any longer and that I needed to be moved to Humira which they would cover. Humira did squat. Scalp Psoriasis came back with a vengeance. My doc tried to fail it and get me back on Enbrel but my insurance is asking that I fail 3 others first. So I have been prescribed Taltz. Has anyone done really well on Enbrel and been moved over to Taltz? How did it work for you? It's going to take 3 months before I can give this one a true chance and fail it if it doesn't work and I am just worried that this is going to be a looonnnggg road.
I was on Enbrel for ten years. My rheumie incorrectly took me off MTX. That was a big mistake in hindsight but I did not notice any increase in pain. What I did notice was increased damage to my fingers, to both my TMJs, to my neck and arms, and then to my right heel.
After Enbrel, I tried Humira, Simponi, Otezla, and Cosentyx. Neither of them worked any better. I am now taking Remicade IV every four weeks or so. I might have to increase the dosage because my fingers and neck seem to be having their "issues".
Since I am on Medicare, the gov't pays for it as it is an infusion. Go figure! Would Remicade work for you, medically and financially?
I have never used Taltz.
