I have been on Enbrel 50mg for the last 2 years. First one year, I was on weekly schedule. It worked like a magic. Pain disappeared. Then based on my Dr review, it was on 10 days cycle for 6 months. When I finally moved to 15 days cycle, after a couple of months, I experienced stiffness. Now I am back to weekly cycle after severe wrist pain. I am also taking MTX 12.5mg on a weekly basis. Is it that Enbrel is effective only on weekly schedule? Also, in India it's very expensive. Any idea or plans available to avail it at lower price? Thanks!

In the Professional Drug information for Enbrel, it states that 50mg/weekly is the normal dosages for adults. More than 50mg/weekly doesn't seem to improve symptoms but does increase adverse events/reactions.
Since you're in India, I'm not sure about getting the medication at a lower price. But, I did find this site http://www.enbrel.com/call-a-support-specialist.jspx and a phone number, where you can talk to someone (in over 200 languages) about getting a discount. Hope this helps!
