I've recently had my expected ovulation cycle on the 24th of June, which was expected to end over 3 days ago (the 27th). I recently had unprotected sex on June 30th with my boyfriend ejaculating inside me rather deep, but by this time I know its already far too long for an egg to survive inside the fallopian tube and will disintegrate. My question for this topic is this: Is it still safe and effective to take the "morning after" pill called "ella" after ovulation has already ended, and if so how effective is it?
Will the emergency contraception pill be as effective if I have already gone through Ovulation?

Edit: I know Ovulation cannot be expected or known down to the wire, but I have been reading around and all I have read is that if you have already Ovulated during or a day before having sex theres nothing that the pill will do? What if you Ovulated 4-6 days before you have had unprotected sex with him finishing inside?
