if there is anyone that can better help me understand this. I just found out today and am so lose and nothing am reading seems to help me understand this seizure better. All seizures are very important no matter how or small. Thank you in advance
"A subclinical seizure is a seizure that, being subclinical, does not present any clinical signs or symptoms. Such seizures are often experienced by people with epilepsy, in which an electroencephalogram (EEG) trace will show abnormal brain activity, usually for a short time, but level of consciousness is normal. This is often manifest as a single spike on the EEG trace or a slowing of brain activity not correlating to what the person notices or experiences. Subclinical seizures can be useful to a neurologist in the diagnosis of epilepsy."
Good answer Mazzo !
Happy Thanksgiving... btw :-)
You may have lost periods of time or "zoning" out briefly.
It's potentially dangerous if it occurs during the day if you are a driver.
Some people just have them while they are sleeping which may make you feel like you are not getting enough sleep.
Try not to worry. It's a matter of finding out when it's happening, ruling out an underlying cause, how often the seizures are occurring and the best medicine for chronic usage.
