Hi, Denise! I was taking a lower dose of my Effexor and it worked well but I still felt I needed a little more help so my doctor gradually increased my dose to 300mg a day (150am/150pm). That's done the trick beautifully and I've had no ill effects from the higher dose.
Good luck to you! WCV
Yes, Denise I have been on 225mg myself after having to have it adjusted several times to help with the anxiety now I rarely have to take anything else during the day. 150mg for chronic anxiety or depression is still a low dose for most people, but we can do well on it for a while but lucky there is room to add more to help keep it under control. Remember it won't be right away that you notice a change you have to let your system get up on the new dose have a good day Chuck1957
