I'm glad you did your research in taking a new medication, good for you!!! A lot of people don't look into their new meds and are very surprised at the side effects or other pros/cons of medicine.
I've been on Effexor for 5 months now. It's working pretty good now. Like you I looked into it before taking, but still was shocked at the beginning about how bad I had the shakes. Never had that reaction before. Not saying you will, my Dr said about 1/2 the people that take it get shaky at the beginning, then it just goes away when you've gotten used to it. Mine went away just like that, poof no more shakes!! : ) I hope this medicine works great for you!! Good Luck!!
Hi, ginny! Congratuations on making a well-educated decision. Effexor has been a miracle drug for me for years ~ very effective, no side effects, no withdrawls when I have to stop for an unrelated medical problem.
