I have not started taking Effexor yet. Mostly because I'm afraid of side effects. I've been on other medications and it made my anxiety worse. So I'm wondering when I do start Effexor if I have an anxiety attack will it be OK to take 1 mg of lorazepam?
yes, if this is prescribed by your doctor.
RaeganV; yes just as Laurie said it is very common to take a nerve pill along with Effexor or one of the other meds like it but I was able to adjust mine down because the Effexor works pretty good for me.The hardest part depending on dose the doctor is starting you out on is more side effect at the start for 5 to 10 days,Then most of those go away and a lot of people 2 to 3 weeks start to feel some difference aka relief but it can take 6 to 8 weeks to reach your full blood level. Also when you first start some people have increased feeling of depression and anxiety and that would be what the Lorazepam well come in.Make sure the doctor okays it WE are all here to help and have the same problems as you so feel free to post anytime you well find people you can relate to better and stick to the answers. Just so many fantastic woman on this site and very understanding.Your not alone. Have a new start and a great day.
