Once again I'm due to start an add in of an anti psychotic but every time I do my anxiety gets worse and I panic I also get funny heart beats feels like it's slow and exaggerated... is this likely to happen with seorquel too ? I'm on 375mg Effexor which I tolerate well have tried olanzapine which I didn't like and risperidone (which was not good for me I fainted and anxiety was worse). Also tried pregabalin which I tolerated years ago but not now either again I felt heightened anxiety..feels like I will never get one to help with the racing thoughts and insomnia which doesn't add to my problems any advice ? Sometimes I think it's all in my head :-( Thank u x
Effexor and quetiapine (seroquel) why am I so scared to try another add in ?

I am taking Seroquel with Effexor as well (although I'm actually in the process of going off the Effexor). I actually find Seroquel really good. I take it before bed and it really helps me sleep, plus I feel better during the day too. My psychiatrist told me that even at a low dose (I'm taking 25mg) it can help with mood, and for me it does. I understand your worries with adding something new in to the mix, and everyone reacts differently to meds, but in my own personal experience, Seroquel has worked well. Also I have gone off this dose before with no tapering and not had any ill effects at all. Hope this helps.
