My mother, 90, has been taking lipitor for several years (20 mg). She has dementia and I'd like to take her off lipitor to see if her memory might improve. Would this pose any danger to her. Is elevated cholesterol at age 90 a cause for concern.
I'm with you on that one. What can it do at 90. I don't see how taking her off it for a week or two is going to hurt her. I refused to take statins anymore because of the effect they have on me. I can imagine it would effect someone that old.
