I am a 43 y/o male who is suffering from low levels of testosterone 1.82 and the free testosterone is 3.60 . I was told that obesity may be the reason behind this medical problem and therefore I am on a hard diet to lose weight. Nevertheless , my physician has advised me to take "cidoteston ampules" (Any idea about these injections ?) once a week and I am afraid lest I should gain weight or experience side effects. Would normal levels of Testosterone be restored by just losing weight ? or do I have to have certain medication and for how long will that last for ? Many thanks in anticipation for your support.
They don't know why this is becoming and epidemic of low testosterone. My theory is that there is so many hormones in our meat supply, along with all of the pesticides etc., it is really doing a number to our health. I suggest that you try to purchase organic as much as you can.
As far as weight loss, with testosterone supplementation you will actually build muscle tone, which will burn more calories naturally. You will also redefine your body structure. My husband has the same problem, though he takes a gel daily that gets rubbed in through his skin. He researched and found out that the injections are not an even system, whereas you get highs and lows depending on when your injection is due. He had no energy when his T levels were low.. IF you chose not to take the hormone, you will become very tired and depressed. It is a necessary hormone for life, for men, and women both.
Best of luck to you, and I hoped that answered your question.
