I've been suffering with hyperhidrosis since I was in middle school. I sweat profusely from my underarms even if I'm just sitting and doing nothing. I always wear black so it isn't noticeable. Women's deodorant doesn't work for me. It doesn't even matter if it's clinical strength. I've tried men's deodorant as well and still the same thing. What can I do? Is getting botox injected into your armpits harmful?
We can relate with you... my daughter is in 6th grade and she too sweats profusely, even while just sitting and doing nothing and wears black to mask the sweating. We just got an Rx for Drysol for her and we will see how it goes for her. I feel helpless when I can't help her and I've tried everything (even 'prescription strength' OTC deodorants, cornstarch, powders, men deodorants... you name it!)... nothing worked. And I wouldn't dream of putting her through any kind of 'injectable treatments' at her age... too harsh. Feeling hopeful that Drysol will help her. Hoping for the best!
