we already used clotrimazole cream ip for more than a month, but still the itching continuing ans also it got red colour with dryness.now she just reaches at her forth month in life.and also baby have the fungal attack on her head for that we used ketoconazole cream and desonide cream. Can you suggest me the best, safety and effective treatment for the small baby???
If its just dry skin, a moisturizer that doesn't have perfume in it, will help. The creams with steroids in them will dry the skin more. Has a dermatologist seen the baby? When I was a student nurse in pediatrics years ago, we had a pediatrician who said that you should use things like vegetable shortening on babies dry skin. It helped. It sounds like the baby has eczema and a dermatologist would be best for treatment of that.
