I just read that it should be kept in its original container, but last week I made up a week's worth of med pouches, which include Edarbi. I take several medications, and it is easier to make up the pouches ahead of time so that I don't have to open up the bottles every night. Just wondering what effect this could have on this medication. I have never had a medication that said not to put it in any other container. Could the Edarbi be ruined in a week's time?
The instructions on the bottle, "do not repackage; dispense and store in original container" are indeed for the pharmacist. You can safely put your meds into little plastic bags or packets for the week, or longer, such as for a trip. Many people use the weekly pill boxes. You never hear of those being a problem, right? Edarbi is very stable, coated, and can certainly withstand normal temperatures and conditions. :)
