I am 18 years old and have not had children. Earlier today I had the mirena inserted and since then I have felt very shaky and have been cramping really bad. I would just like to know if there are any tricks to ease this discomfort. Please if anyone had any advice it is greatly appreciated!
I remember that pain, it was horrible! I had it put in 6 weeks after I gave birth so I was still very sore and healing down there. I had just stopped bleeding from child birth and the insertion made me bleed all over again. I just remember coming home and sitting back in my reclining chair with a heating pad on my stomach, and one on my low back for cramps. Ibuprpofen helped the cramping but I also had some of my norco from leaving the hospital left so that is probably what helped the most. It does pass in the next day or two, if that's any comfort for you. I hope this helps :)
