My girlfriend and i had sex and once we were finished I noticed the condom broke so I went a got her a Plan B and she took it within 20 minutes of when we had sex. was that too early? She’s also into sports and I took her to practice right after so could her being extra active right after taking the pill cause anything bad?
Sport won't have effected her at all.
Taking it 20 mins later won't hurt at all. The sooner after sex, the better.
However, what will affect her, is whether or not it was the right form of emergency contraception for her at that time of her menstrual cycle.
Plan B works by delaying ovulation until the sperm leaves her body.
If she was already ovulating then it couldn't do that, & she'd need one of the other methods of emergency contraception; either the other emergency pill called Ulipristal Acetate (Ella), or to have an IUD fitted by a doctor.
Most women who have regular periods ovulate somewhere around days 12-18 of their menstrual cycle. Although that's just a guide.
Day 1 of the menstrual cycle is the first day of a period.
Using that info, can you tell me if her periods are always regular, & what day of her cycle she was on, pls?
