I am researching new medications that have been prescribed to my husband while he is in the hospital. He is there due to a fall/head injury and since his admission, he has developed amnesia and does not know me (wife of 37 years), nor his children, grandchildren, etc. The doctors don't seem to believe me and they have less than helpful answering questions, etc.
Duloxetine is used in the treatment of fibromyalgia; chronic pain; anxiety; back pain; major depressive disorder (and more), and belongs to the drug class serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. Risk cannot be ruled out during pregnancy. Duloxetine is not a controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA).
