I was recently prescribed drysol for the extreme hyperhidrosis i have had in my face for the last 3 years. My dermatologist told me to apply for 3 night's in a row and then once a week. Tonight is the first night and the itching is unbearable. I can't sleep. Can I put anything on it? Hydrocortisone cream? Ice packs? Aloe?
Do not put anything on to of the solution. The itching could be from over drying your skin with the alcohol or an allergic reaction to the ingredients. You posted this a month ago, so i'm guessing you know which one it is by now. If you do not: test on inside of your wrist for allergic reaction. If you're not allergic to the ingredients it must be the drying of the alcohol. I had this problem and this is what worked for me. Do not wash your face with anything that would "open" your pores. Wash your face but only with cold water before application. Apply with your finger not applicator on bottle. Do not rub it in. Do a "light" application the first few times, one day on two days off. My skin got used to it this way.
I hope this helps!
