I am about to go for the first drug test in my life, and I am concern on how accurate it is. I am supposed to be taking 60 mg of methadone and I am taking only 20mg, will the test show the difference?
Drug Tests Acuracy?
It depends on the quality of the test. The higher end tests can tell, as this is a fairly sensitive difference you state here. Big companies, Law Enforcement, DOT, etc have the best there are. Hope this helps.
A side note, if you're on Methadone, the less the better and if you decide to stop, be sure your Doc helps you and you allow months of very gradual reduction to do it.
They usually don't concern themselves with levels as long as there is enough to test positive. I have been on methadone maintenance for 10 years and I take 120 milligrams a day. As long as you are truly taking the 20mg a day then the test will show that both methadone AND methadone metabolites are in your system. People metabolize methadone at vastly different rates.
