My son is a few months out of rehab. I have been testing him for percs - his drug of choice, and these have come back negative. Recently, I have done urine tests with 10 panels. Both have come back negative for percs but positive for amp and oxy (these are the abbreviations the tests gives). How can I find out what drugs would show positive on both? Thanks.
I'm no expert by any means but it sounds to me like he's not done with the drugs. Amp would be amphedimines like ADD medication and Oxy is basically like the Perkocets. What does he say when you ask him? These tests aren't always exactly accurate I have found the hard way. I would talk to a doctor for more information. Good luck with him. I know how u feel. I have a daughter on Meth right now and its Sooo hard!! Please keep me posted.
Amp would most likely be amphetamines. Oxy is most likely oxycodone and percocets contain oxycodone. It sounds to me like he is taking multiple drugs unless he has ADD or ADHD and takes a stimulant for it, as that would show positive for amphetamines and it would be expected if he takes ADHD meds. If he doesnt take stimulants for ADHD, then he is using an amphetamine of some sort. The oxy showing positive would mean he is using percocets again or some other form of oxycodone (roxicodone, OxyContin) The drug testing instructions should tell you what all those abbreviations mean and what drugs fall under that category. If they dont then I suggest you call the company who makes them and ask.
