I have yearly appointments with my neurologist ( MS concern) , have seen specialist and my GP about my chronic back pain, and I hear this term often. Does this mean it's all in my head? And I am on heavy meds for pain, not sure if that helps to know that but thought more info the better I guess.
Chronic back pain due to nerve involvement can often be referred to as painful neuropathy, nerve pain, peripheral neuropathy, or peripheral neuritis.
Try googling chronic back pain and neuropathy - you should find some good information.
