Finished treatment 2 mths ago .can i drink alcohol have a 18 th coming up ?
Hi, have you had a blood test recently, do you know the health of your liver? If you are in a good position then yes there is no reason why not, but be careful not to binge drink as this can be very dangerous, especially after not drinking for so long, your body won't be used to the alcohol.
It is a personal choice but I would not take a chance till you consult your gastroenterologist. But think about it, you had hep c why would you be ready to damage your liver so soon after such an expensive treatment? I been sober for 15years waiting for this cure and I'll be damned if I'm gonna start again because I can! Just crazy talk. I know your young but only 18 and not able to drink legally anyway! I didn't listen either at 18 cuz I knew it all by 16 lol. Be careful and remember to ask your doctor! Only he can honestly say whether you can drink alcohol so soon!
heads up on your question. yes, you can drink alcohol. i drank wine EVERY weekend since i started harvoni last year, and am cured. most important is that you do not miss a pill... i am not a big drinker... i always enjoyed a few glasses of wine on weekends... i never gave that up and had complete success. i do not know how "alcoholic drinking" affects treatment, as i am not an alcoholic.
