She suggested I think about trying the oxytocin (probably 20mg) instead of the 4daily/oxycodone 15mg for my chronic pain. And she did mention a quick acting drug for the breakthrough I guess. What do you think? I am not educated about this and need suggestions. Thank you!
Based on the meds you're on now, I'd say you'd need 40 mg a day, but she might start you out low. What she is suggesting is the way chronic pain should be treated. Having a medication in your body all the time will give you a level of pain prevention instead of the peaks and valleys of taking an immediate release pill chasing the pain.
