i was prescribed zyrtec and antibiotics for sinus infection now two weeks later feel better symptoms gone should i still take the zyrtec?
You can always call your prescribing Dr. and ask this question. He/she knows a lot more about your health conditions than I do. In the meantime, you only need to take the Zyrtec if you have allergies that are bad enough to require the Zyrtec to treat the symptoms. In general, less drugs are preferable to taking more.
toni' Being it is the weekend if you can't reach the doctor it won't hurt to just continue the Zyrtec for 3 to 5 days to make sure everything is circulating well in the sinus cavity after the infection. This is what they had me do. Glad you finished the antibiotic way to many people start to feel better and stop it. Then you end up with the same thing and it does not always work because the infection gets resistant to the antibiotics. Happy Holidays and enjoy your weekend.
