My dr wants to up my dose to 6 mgs of Klonopin a day because my anxiety has came back again with a vengeance and he wants to stabilize me by upping it. I am on 4.5 mg a day and just adding another 1.5 scares me. What if it doesn’t work then I will have a lot more time to get off of it. I am pretty much housebound and can’t enjoy anything. It could make me better but I don’t known. Any advice would be appreciated. I can’t take SSRI's because they make me so hyper. So benzos have always been what has worked. I just don’t know if I should but can’t stand feeling so anxious all the time and scared of everything.
Kat1077; Take what the doctor said in the divided doses they are trying to get you stable then worry about going down later. because you can't take any other medications Klonopin is the drug of choice for your condition. Trust me I have been there. We go through high anxiety attacks and higher ones and the doctor is trying to get it so that you will be more comfortable. This is another reason you have to take the higher dose if you can't use any of the other ones. you really will be fine. Just remember that this could make you a bit more sedated for a few more days and you will be fine. chuck1957
