... i called him he said he would like him to cut down however he already is taking them as regular 6 a day so he said he wants to revaluate him again what does that mean? Does anyone know what he wants to do? He was just seen last month also he said maybe try another med however he has already tried other meds and ended up with Norco 10 6tabs a day and doesnt want to try anything else can you tell me what i can do? thanks
I'm disliking this guy more and more. Your dad is going to have to cut down or he's going to find himself in withdrawal when he runs out. The way they government treats docs is causing it, the docs aren't helping because they don't seen to care if you're in pain our going thru withdrawal. I will never understand how they have lost their compassion.
Unfortunately, there's not much you can do. Has your dad tried an extended release narcotic like morphine sulfate? This may allow him to cut down on the amount of norco he's taking daily, which is what it sounds like his Dr is trying to do. If he refuses to cooperate with the Dr, he's likely to get cut off altogether and that you don't want! The DEA is all over these doctors, wanting them to cut back on the amount of narcotics they're prescribing. It makes it truly difficult on those of us who suffer chronic daily pain. See if the extended relief med is something his Dr will consider. Good luck!

I was prescribed Norco 10/325 after two failed surgeries. Years later, Norco is no longer effective?
