On the package it says not to use doxylamine succinate if you have COPD, Please tell me how doxylamine succinate is bad for you if you have COPD.
People with COPD have a difficult time breathing. If you are using this drug to assist sleep issues, it may hinder your body in remembering to breath as much as it needs to. COPD with any sleep APNEA (snorers) would be really bad. If you have other issues like hypertension, the drug may increase the membrane tension across heart-to-lung blood vessels; that causes a cycle of higher blood pressures and more difficulty getting oxygen from heart to lungs into body. This increased tension also similarly applies to the glaucoma issue.
The COPD, hypertension, glaucoma health symptom issues are often hidden and ignorable in their early stages.
