i am about six weeks pregnant and i just found out i would like to no if the pills are safe to take with the baby
I do not want to alarm you but you should not use doxycycline if you are pregnant (Pregancy Category D). It could cause harm to the unborn baby, including permanent discoloration of the teeth later in life.
For future - Doxycycline passes into breast milk and may affect bone and tooth development in a nursing baby. Do not take this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
