This occurs while I am trying to get to sleep. My main diagnosis is MS Relapsing/Remitting. I was originally on Trazadone for about 23 years until it became to weak for me. I was also on Prozac for the same length of time. My psychiatrist recommended Doxepin to replace both drugs. I started at a low dose and gradually went up to 150mg. At that dose, I started to sleep well again for at least 5 days. Then I started having panic attacks 10 months ago. My doctor then prescribed 22.5 mg of Temazepam along with the Doxepin. Since then I have been sleeping soundly. Last night, I only took Doxepin and the attacks came back. The attacks consisted of gasping for air. Thank you.
