I have been using Testim for about 3-4 months now but my testosterone level is still not very good. Can I use two 5 gram tubes a day, or is that dangerous? Thanks
I would definitely talk to my doctor on a course of action since this dosage of Testim is not working for you. To experiment yourself would not be a good idea, as you may boost your testosterone level over the top. I was told by my doctors that low testosterone is usually caused by one of two things if you are a normally healthy person. One is that the pituitary gland is not sending a message to the testicles to make testosterone (confirmed by use of MRI) for which testosterone therapy might not do anything, and the other is your testicles just not producing even though they are getting the signal, for which testosterone therapy works well. Good Luck
Bill in Texas has just responded to another question that the makers of Testim say that two tubes is acceptable if one tube is not working for you. HOWEVER, I agree with the above poster that you should not be adjusting your dosage without the informed conscent of your doctor. They need to know what you are doing, and why. They may agree, or, they may prefer that you take another route.
Just wanted to share what Bill in Texas was sharing. (His question was if anyone else found a loss of erection an hour after washing off the gel. He clarified that he was using two tubes, when I asked.)
