My boyfriend is hypertensive and was recently prescribed Norvasc 20mg. After doing some research on the usual dosage for this medication, I am concerned that this dose may be too much. Is 10mg the highest dose prescribed for this medication and, if so, should he continue to take 20mg?
Yes!out of my experience its to high!as far as my investigation went 10mg is the highest!is this the only medication his using for high blood!if so its fine!the interaction with other meds makes Norvesac dangerous!if his diabetic this med can interfere with th diabetic meds which can leads to edeema in his feet!rather consult a specialist th GP is not (with respect)equipped to help you!this is a dangerous illness and its a silent killer!Thank you for your concern, keep on investigating!get all his meds and do th research and check your interaction.all of th best.
