Is it okay for a 4 year old kid weighing only 30 llb. to take 5ml citerizine ( 5mg/5ml ) in the morning and then also 2.5 ml citerizine ( again) at bedtime PLUS 2.5 ml (10mg/5ml) of Atarax at bedtime. So overall dosage in 24 hours is 7.5 ml citerizine and 2.5 ml atarax. My Daughter has moderate to severe eczema. She had a history of intolerance to antihistamine ..side effects like: involuntary tremors when asleep and urinary retention.
Is the atarax liquid, if so, what are the proportions? Under 6 yrs the dose of atarax for a child is 50mg/24 hrs. Under 6 yrs you are supposed to get the dosage of cetirizine from the dr. If she has a history of reaction to antihistamines, why are you giving her 2 different ones?
