I am on a 25 mg and sometimes feel a skipped beat. It seems to be happening more frequently. I'm seeing my cardio soon. Thanks.
I take different drugs for my HBP (high blood pressure). I looked up a normal adult dose for atenolol: "Initial dose: 50 mg orally once a day. The full effect of this dose will usually be seen within 1 to 2 weeks. If an optimal response is not achieved, the dosage should be increased to 100 mg orally once a day." You are on a low dose right now. Below are many people's reviews of how atenolol did or didn't work for them. I think you'll find it useful to read about the symptoms people had with too much or too little of the drug.
When you decide you're ready, call your Dr. to make an app't. so s/he can make a change so you're more comfortable with no skipped heartbeats. I hope you'll be feeling better soon.
