my husband has just been swallowing the pill with a glass of water or a cup of coffee. it doesn't seem to be doing him any good. is he taking it wrong
It depends upon the type of tablet that your husband takes.
If you are taking the regular tablet form of donepezil, it is recommended that you take it with a drink of water or other fluid. Do not chew, crush, split or dissolve the tablets.
If you are taking the orally disintegrating tablet form, you should place the tablet on your tongue, allow it to dissolve, and then swallow. It is recommended that you drink a glass of water after the tablet has dissolved.
Take care, wish your husband the best!
