Domperidone is an antiemetic (anti-nausea) medication that works by antagonizing the dopamine receptors in the GI system, and is sometimes used for GERD, while omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor, meaning that it works by reducing how much acid your stomach produces. They are in different drug categories, but can sometimes be prescribed for the same purposes.
