my systolic b/p is high and my diastolic pressure is low - diastolic range from 50's to 70's and systolic ranges from 170 down to 120 occasionally. It fluctuates big time from one hour to the next. Is this normal - does everyone jump around like this?
Yes, it does.-
Benicar significantly lowers systolic and diastolic blood pressures. The higher the dose of Benicar, the greater the drop in blood pressure tends to be. By lowering blood pressure, benicar can decrease the risks that often occur with long-term high blood pressure. However, benicar is not a cure for high blood pressure.
It is not normal for your readings to fluctuate like that.- it is not a side effect.-
I recommend you go to the hospital, and contact your docotor.-
Take care and I hope is nothing serious. But do seek for medical attention asap.-OK
