had back surgery last year and switched from pain meds to suboxone and am curious to see if suboxone shows up on drug screens?
djmattc5643, Boy, that's a mouthful. Anyhow, good for you to be on Suboxone instead of the pain meds. I understand the need for pain meds, especially with back pain, but I also understand the addiction I had. Suboxone won't show up on a drug test unless they are specifically looking for it. most drug test don't test for that. For each drug they add to a test, the more it cost. So they are usually looking for a specific few. Hope that helps. NIK
NIK is right, unless they check specifically for bupenorphine, you will test negative. If you have a DOT job, are a truck driver, work at a hospital, or some other highly screened job, chances are they are not going to check of the box to look for bupenorphine, Even most probation offices and courts don't check for it.
